Submission of your presentation for your talk

Please prepare your PowerPoint presentation in 16:9 format.

Digital participation of chairs and speakers

Unfortunately, it is not possible to join the SMHS 2023 digitally. If you are not able to be on site, please contact us by e-mail at smh@cpo-hanser.de. We will send you further information on how to pre-record and upload your presentation. Please also coordinate this with the chairs of the session.

Technical requirements for presentations

Presentations should be prepared as a PowerPoint or PDF file. If you use a MacBook to create your presentation, please note that the presentation may be displayed on a PC, so we recommend that you test your presentation on a PC beforehand. If you use Apple Keynote to create a presentation, please save it as a PDF or PowerPoint file.
Presentations that use non-standard Windows 10 or Office 365 fonts should be saved with the "embedded fonts" option.
All videos should be embedded in the PowerPoint file so that no additional video files need to be uploaded
If you only use linked videos in your presentation, please upload these videos together with the PowerPoint file. Please use standard Windows 10 video formats, at best H.264-encoded MP4 video files.
To avoid problems with the display of fonts, we recommend using the following, widely used fonts: Arial, Courier, Courier New, Geneva, Georgia, Helvetica, Times, Times New Roman.
The most common video formats (* wmv, * mp4) that can be played on a standard MS Windows 10 computer with Windows Media Player will be supported. Exception: No MOV files will be supported (not even embedded).
There are no size limits for file uploads.
