90-minute symposium to present new findings on a topic. The symposium will be led by a chair and a co-chair, and should contain a maximum of three individual presentations (3 x 20 minute presentations). Each presentation is followed by approximately 10 minutes of questions and discussions.

45-minute symposium to present new clinical findings on a topic relevant to clinical practice. The symposium will be led by a chair and a co-chair, and should include a maximum of three individual presentations. There should be ample time for questions and a discussion following each presentation. Participants may also be actively involved in the presentations.

45-minute workshops are aimed at researchers, physicians, therapists, coaches and other professionals. They are designed to promote evidence-based practice and to bring together interdisciplinary perspectives from sports medicine, physiotherapy, training science, research and healthcare. Workshops are led by a chair and may include up to three short contributions. They can take one or more of the following forms:

• Practical demonstrations
• Methodological workshops
• Discussion-based workshops

Possible content includes the practical implementation of interventions or assessments, training or physiotherapeutic techniques, the use of diagnostic procedures or (digital) tools, as well as methodological steps such as study design, data analysis or statistics.

Interactive elements are central to the workshop format: exercises, practical applications and the active involvement of participants are strongly encouraged. The discussion of concrete case examples from different professional perspectives is also possible, provided suitable data are available. Hands-on formats and practice-oriented applications are particularly welcome.

45- to 90-minute case-based sessions focus on selected clinical or sport-related cases. The aim is to present complex progressions, decision-making processes and interdisciplinary collaboration in a practical manner and to discuss them with the participants. These sessions are chaired by one chair, include up to three individual contributions and may take one or more of the following forms:

• Clinical cases with particular diagnostic, therapeutic or healthcare relevance
• Cases from elite sport, such as rehabilitation and return-to-sport
• Multiprofessionally managed cases demonstrating collaboration across different disciplines

At the centre of the session is a structured case presentation including medical history, diagnostics, interventions and outcomes. A sufficient data basis (e.g. diagnostic findings, progression data, outcomes) is required for submission. Decisions should be justified using evidence-based reasoning, and challenges as well as “lessons learned” should be reflected upon. An interactive discussion with the audience forms a central component of the session.
